Botox
Botox is used for the treatment of crows feet, frown lines between the eyes, and horizontal lines on the forehead. It is also used in the neck to improve the appearance of “bands” and wrinkles. Botox may also be used to reduce sweating in the underarms, palms or soles.

What is Botox? Botox is a purified protein found in nature. Although Botox is a toxin, there have been no serious side effects when used correctly for cosmetic indications.

How is Botox used? A few drops of Botox are injected with a tiny needle into the muscle that creates a wrinkle. When Botox is injected into a muscle, it blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area and, as a result, the muscle weakens. As the muscle weakens, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles in the skin gradually soften and disappear.
